Talent Habitat Dashboard Guide
This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the Talent Habitat user dashboard, designed to help HR Managers and executives navigate their day-to-day tasks efficiently. The dashboard presents a snapshot of tasks, timesheets, approvals, and key actions, along with tools for managing people, policies, and performance.
User Profile and Quick Access
At the top of the dashboard, users are greeted with their name, photo, and title. The user’s roles and permissions are clearly displayed via role badges (e.g., Admin, Owner, Recruiter, HR), allowing for quick identification and context switching.
Notification Indicator: A red badge shows the number of pending items or alerts that require the user’s attention.
Quick Role Switch Buttons: Enables access to additional role-based functionalities for users with multiple roles.
Action Shortcuts
Just beneath the user profile, quick action buttons allow users to access frequently used features:
Notes: Open a personal note-taking tool to create and manage your own private or draft notes.
Timesheets: Shortcut to the timesheet module, where users can log hours or review time entries.
Actions: A tool for managing personal to-do items, task tracking, and reminders.
Main Navigation Menu
The navigation sidebar provides access to all core modules. This menu is always accessible on the left-hand side.
Core Modules
Home: Return to the dashboard home screen.
Employee Performance: Access employee evaluations, performance reviews, and goal tracking tools.
Position Templates: Manage reusable templates for job descriptions, hiring checklists, and position-specific onboarding.
Positions: View current open positions, their status, and related recruitment activity.
People: Browse and manage the staff directory, including detailed user profiles, employment records, and contact information.
Template Admin: Create and edit templates used across the platform such as interview forms, onboarding workflows, or document templates.
Policy Framework: View and manage company policies. Ensure compliance and version control for HR documentation.
Staff Messages: Send and receive internal communications such as announcements, memos, or targeted staff alerts.
Workflow Shortcuts
Items That Require Actions: Displays a filtered list of tasks or approvals awaiting the user’s input.
Manage My New Starters: A simplified view for onboarding newly hired team members, including assigned tasks and setup steps.
Role-Based Views
Toggle access or filter data by the following roles:
Staff
System Admin
Team Leader
Reporting
Recruiter
CRM
These filters adjust what is shown across modules, based on role-specific permissions.
Dashboard Widgets
Widgets on the main panel provide real-time data and actions at a glance.
Weather
Location-specific forecast based on the user’s profile location.
Displays current temperature, “feels like” temperature, humidity, and sky condition.
Approvals
Breakdown of pending approvals categorized by time and reporting structure:
All Approvals: Total count of approval items requiring attention.
Approvals from Direct Reports: Actions submitted by team members who report directly to the user.
Last 24/48/36 Hours: Rolling window metrics for aging approval requests.
Older than 36 Hours: Items that may be overdue and require escalation.
Timesheets
Displays a time breakdown of logged working hours:
Today / Yesterday
This Week / Last Week
This Month / Last Month
Each item shows total hours submitted, helping managers quickly identify missing timesheets or anomalies.
Onboarding Tasks
Tracks tasks assigned to or associated with onboarding activity:
HR-assigned Task: Tasks delegated to the HR department.
Tasks for Me: Items specifically assigned to the current user.
Tasks as a Leader: Items where the user is acting in a supervisory capacity (e.g., approvals, mentoring, or document sign-offs).
Organisation Summary
Displays the user's position in the org structure, including a profile image and link to their detailed profile. This helps reinforce accountability and internal hierarchy.
Notice Board
Provides a space for company-wide or department-specific announcements, messages, and alerts. Typically used for urgent updates or brief messages.
Policies
Lists active HR or compliance policies, with clearly marked Required labels indicating which documents must be acknowledged or reviewed.
